The Montreal and Quebec OR community is extremely dynamic. Conferences, workshops, and many major scientific events are organized each year. Over the past 30 years, many companies have also developed around this community. Some of them have become world leaders while the youngest are already experiencing significant success.
Aiming at bringing the "industrial" community together and building on the success of the 2010 edition, we organize, within the Optimization Days 2012, the second edition of the "Industrial Optimization Day".
As part of this day, several companies working in OR have agreed to present their activities, their projects and applications related to optimization, desirable or possible collaborations with the scientific community, and career opportunities for graduate students in OR. The "Day of industrial optimization" will take place Tuesday, May 8, and it will end with a networking cocktail with the scientific community (by invitation) offered by the RROM.
